InteliSys Aviation Systems Honoured with Outstanding Philanthropist Award
(Montreal – Nov 3, 2015) – Airline information technology company, InteliSys Aviation Systems, has been selected as the recipient of the 2015 Hope Air Outstanding Philanthropist Award, presented at the Air Transportation Association of Canada (ATAC) annual general meeting held this year in Montreal.
Hope Air is a national charity that arranges free flights for Canadians in financial need who must travel long distances to healthcare. The annual Outstanding Philanthropist Award is presented to an ATAC member organization that demonstrates “a dedication to Hope Air’s mission of removing the barriers of distance and cost that separate Canadians from the specialized healthcare they require”.
“We are honoured to receive the Outstanding Philanthropist Award from Hope Air,” said InteliSys Aviation Systems CEO Frank Kays. “We are proud to support their work arranging flights to healthcare for Canadians in need through the annual Jock English Memorial Golf Tournament”.
InteliSys Aviation Systems has been a supporter of Hope Air since 2013, when they launched the annual Jock English Memorial Golf Tournament in honour of InteliSys’ late CEO, Jock English. Jock’s widow, Pamela Reid, co-sponsors the tournament each year with InteliSys. The tournament has raised more than $48,000 for Hope Air over the course of its three year history.
“InteliSys has made an important contribution to Hope Air in hosting the Jock English Memorial Golf Tournament each year,” said Doug Keller-Hobson, Executive Director of Hope Air. “The tournament is a great community-building event in New Brunswick and it has allowed us to help more Canadians from the Maritimes get to their medical appointments”.
