InteliSys Aviation Systems, along with Pam Reid were proud to host the 3rd Annual Jock English Memorial Golf Tournament on July 16 2015 in Memramcook, New Brunswick. It was a beautiful sunny day at Memramcook Valley Golf Course with 72 golfers and a total of 100 attendees there to soak up the sunshine in memory of Jock English and to raise money for a very worthy cause.
Jock English was the President and CEO of InteliSys Aviation Systems until his passing on November 12, 2012. Each year since, this tournament has been held in his honour to remember Jock and his contributions to InteliSys and to his community. Jock was an optimistic man who lived his life with joy and hope for a better tomorrow, so it made perfect sense to partner with Hope Air for this tournament. Net proceeds raised from the event go directly to Hope Air, providing free flights for Canadians in financial need living in rural areas who must travel to access healthcare that is unavailable in their home communities.
This year over $16,000 was raised in Jock’s honour.
“I am thrilled every year to help such a great cause as Hope Air and to honour a man who was not only a colleague but a great friend. I know Jock would have loved seeing everyone out enjoying a great day, having fun and raising money for an honourable cause.” Frank Kays, CEO of InteliSys continued, “I had the pleasure of meeting some Hope Air clients this year, and to see how much this charity helps Canadians and how many lives it saves is unbelievable. On behalf of myself, the entire team at InteliSys and Jock’s wife Pam, I would like to thank all of the golfers, volunteers, people who donated and of course, our generous sponsors as this event could not have been the success it was without them.”
The tournament was hosted and organized by InteliSys Aviation Systems and Co-Sponsored by Pam Reid. Other major event sponsors this year were: Pacific Coastal Airlines of British Columbia, VietJet Air of Vietnam, Greater Moncton International Airport, BMW, WestJet, Aviator of Australia, Cirrus9, Butterfly Energy Systems, Vision Coaching Inc., Wilson Insurance, and the Wetmore & Hawkes families.
